Matching trucks to your deck: the axle should sit roughly flush with the edge of your board. As a rough guide — 7.75–8.0" deck takes a 5.0/139, 8.25" takes a 5.25/144, 8.5"+ takes a 5.5/149.

Wheel durometer: harder wheels (99a–101a) slide better and roll faster on smooth park concrete. Softer wheels (78a–92a) grip more and handle rough streets and cracks without stopping you dead.
